Travel to Hvar island
There is something special about that moment when you set off from the mainland into the unknown. All your worries become unimportant and the everyday routine is left further and further behind. There are no airports (yet) on the island of Hvar, which is not convinient, but it is certainly environment protective. Car Ferries in Sucuraj, Stari Grad, and passenger boats to Jelsa and Hvar town are connections to the mainland. Hvar can be reached from Split and Drvenik on Dalmatian coast, and directly from Italy. Also a number of seasonal cruise lines are available. Ferry Drvenik - Sucuraj (carries cars) drives just about every hour in season, and travel lasts for about 30 minutes. The ferry Split - Stari Grad is much bigger, carries more cars, and has less departures (2 hours travel).
